Three women will be doing a 24-hour sleepout in Morpeth Market Place from 11am on Saturday to raise awareness of the issues facing homeless people and funds for Crisis.

Former Morpeth Rotary Club President Rhona Dunn, left in picture, former Mayor of Morpeth Alison Byard, right in picture, and Caroline Pryer, a Deputy Lieutenant of Northumberland, will have collection boxes so people can donate money to the charity that helps homeless people across the UK during the 24 hours. According to the latest Government figures, collected in the autumn of 2015 and published in February 2016, 3,569 people are estimated to be sleeping rough on any one night in England.
