A minute’s silence was held outside Morpeth Town Hall at noon today.

Town Mayor Alison Byard invited members of the public to stand with her and other councillors to respect the memory of the 30 Britons killed in the Tunisian beach attack last Friday.

The period of silence took place in cities, towns and villages across the UK.
