Morpeth-based Emma Bunting has been shortlisted for Wedding Decoration Supplier of the Year in the Bridebook.co.uk Wedding Awards.
About 50 per cent of the business’ turnover is wedding based. Its provision for marriage ceremonies includes personalised bunting, including mini cotton flags for the cake, and venue styling.
More than 180,000 votes were cast to choose the shortlist from over 70,000 entrants. The winners will be announced on March 1.
Emma Bunting owner Emma Weston-Jones said she enjoys working at venues that have big spaces which can be filled with bunting, such as The Alnwick Garden and Healey Barn, near Corbridge.
She added: “I’m absolutely thrilled. We’ve been decorating weddings for over ten years now and our love and genuine passion for fabric bunting is really what makes us stand out.
“My most unusual request was for a Star Wars-themed wedding, where I made bunting out of duvet covers.
“Most venues give you carte blanche and I work with the bride and groom and other suppliers to tie everything together.”
