CYCLING fans can get on their bikes for a good cause with the launch of a new charity challenge.
The Hills of the North event has been organised by keen cyclist Iain Bolton in aid of St Oswald’s Hospice.
It offers a 100-mile or 50-mile route, both starting and finishing at Hexham Racecourse.
The event is considered the hilliest cycle challenge in the region, but participants are promised spectacular scenery and visits to picturesque villages, such as Alston, Allenheads and Stanhope, along the way.
The cycle takes place on Sunday, September 25 and the entrance fee is £25.
