A county charity will receive plenty of backing from a group of entrepreneurs in the coming months.
The not-for-profit business networking organisation NorthEastBiz, which meets once a month near Cramlington, has pledged its support for this year to Carers Northumberland.
Its members have expertise in a wide range of sectors and some of them will donate their time and specialist skills to help the good cause and every time a business attends an event organised by the group, they contribute to the charity.
There will be special raffles and activities to bring in extra funds and the amount raised at the end-of-year event is match funded by Barclays Business.
The group’s bursar is Morpeth-based Jacky Beesley and Lee Richardson of Coast Technology suggested that the group helps Carers Northumberland in the months ahead.
The charity’s chief executive Sharon Spurling said: “We’re delighted to receive this support. As well as the fund-raising, it will enable us to talk to and work with some well-regarded professionals.”
