Volunteers take pick of the litter

VILLAGERS are being urged to help put rubbish where it belongs next week.

Following a successful event in May, another Pegswood litter pick day will be held on Saturday, July 16 — this one is based at the Welfare Hall.

Bags, gloves and other equipment will be available from 10am and refreshments will be provided.

At the same time, a mini-market will be run with items such as books, plants and bric-a-brac for sale.

If anyone has items they wish to sell, tables can be booked for £2 each by calling the Pegswood Parish Council offices on 01670 514299.

The day will also include the weeding of significant flower beds within the village so those who would like to help out should go along to the hall.
