Morpeth Lions Club member Geoff Bushell and his new wife Lynn are pictured on his prized bike.

It was celebrations all the way when former Morpeth Lions President Geoff Bushell married Lynn Barnfather at Eshott Hall.

The bride looked radiant and the groom was resplendent too.

In a time-keeping first, Geoff was two minutes early for the ceremony. This from a Lion who has a standing order with the club’s Tail Twister, who administers fines, due to his late arrivals at meetings.

Geoff is one of the leading members of the Morpeth organising committee for the District Annual Convention. With the wedding only six weeks before the convention, the couples’ honeymoon only lasted a further day as both Geoff and Lynn needed to continue organising events.

Another of the loves in Geoff’s life is motorcycling, having recently ridden through Central Europe to Slovenia and Croatia. The wedding photographs included the newlyweds on the bike, which bears the Lions symbol.

Geoff and Lynn requested donations in lieu of presents, raising £520 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
