People of all denominations are invited to attend the annual Women’s World Day of Prayer (WWDP) service in Morpeth next week.
The international ecumenical service traditionally takes place on the first Friday in March and it has been prepared this year by the Christian women of The Philippines, with the title Am I Being Unfair to You?
Music at the service in St George’s United Reformed Church, Bridge Street, will be provided by a choir, organ and instrumentalists.
Everyone, men as well as women, are invited.
Chair of the Morpeth WWDP Committee, Maureen Chapple, said: “It is always a pleasure to join with people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate this day of prayer throughout the world.”
The service will take place on Friday, March 3, from 2pm. Refreshments will be provided afterwards.
