Help us post a big sum

I AM writing to ask for your readers’ support for this year’s Fourth Morpeth Scouts Christmas Post Delivery Service.

We will once again be setting up our sorting office in the Scout Hut again this year.

As well as providing an important public service and allowing the children to make a contribution to their local community, the Christmas Post campaign is our major fund-raiser for the year.

The money raised will contribute to building an extension of our Scout hut.

This extension will increase the size of the main hall, provide new toilets and much-needed storage space, all of which will allow us to accommodate greater numbers of Beavers and Cubs feeding through to Scouts.

The service will run from Monday, November 28, through until Sunday, December 17, with the last collection at 1pm.

Cards must be fully addressed and should be posted, with a charge of 20p per card, in the collection boxes, in Barclays Bank or Costa Coffee in Bridge Street or Morrisons supermarket. Delivery can only be made in Morpeth town and surrounding estates, as well as Hepscott, Mitford and Fairmoor.
