POLITICS: Playing the blame game?

For some time, I have been wondering why the Tories seem to have been trying so hard to make people dislike them – first young voters, ethnic minorities and women, and now seemingly business too.

It now occurs to me that their plan may be to do their best to ensure that they lose the next general election.

Then, after Labour has been in power for some time and the full catastrophe of a hard Brexit is felt, they will accuse Labour of being the cause of the whole sorry mess in order that they might then win the next general election after that.

This might seem rather cynical, but a few years ago I believe they tried to convince the electorate that Labour had been the cause of the world recession.
