How interesting to read yet again information about the success of Coun Scott Dickinson in obtaining funds, this time to transform Hadston Park, (Morpeth Herald, February 9).
The last time we heard about him and the funding he had obtained it was for Druridge Bay Community Centre, around £500,000.
The Herald quoted him as saying: “We talked to the local community 18 months ago about the park and we listened very carefully to what they told us.”
What a pity he and his colleagues have not engaged in similar conversations with Morpeth.
This month the Leader has categorically refused yet again to meet with us to discuss the various proposals for Morpeth, some of which we may agree with and some of which we definitely do not.
