On behalf of Alison Byard, Caroline Pryer and myself, I would like to say a huge thank-you to all the people who supported our 24-hour sleep-out in Morpeth on Saturday and Sunday past.
Your generosity was phenomenal and we raised over £950 for Crisis, which looks after the homeless locally. We never expected to raise so much.
Also, special thanks to those who generously supplied food, which we did not expect – pizzas from Sambuca’s, coffee from Brian Penfold, bacon sarnies from the Kendalls, tea from Hayley and soup from Moira, with an offer of more food from the Comrades Club. So much food, with so much good heart, from the generous people of Morpeth.
We would also like to thank Andrew and Joan Tebbutt who came along late at night and gave us some support. Andrew is great at getting money out of people.
Thank you to all.
