A promising retail career is in store for graduate Zoe Christopher after she was appointed to a prominent position.
The 23-year-old has been named Assistant Manager of Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth after working at the centre for the past two years as a graduate trainee.
During her training under Manager Medi Parry, Ms Christopher has been involved in planning and organising events, such as an Easter ‘crafternoon’, Halloween activities and the Christmas lights switch-on, as well as taking a key role in the delivery of the annual Morpeth Food and Drink Festival, one of the town’s biggest events.
Since joining the arcade team in May 2014 after graduating from Northumbria University in business with marketing management, she has also been involved in public relations and social media campaigns.
And she will play a part in launching the redevelopment of the former Morrisons’ site in Morpeth, which will include Next, Pets at Home and Home Bargains stores.
Ms Christopher, from Blyth, said: “I have loved my first two years at the arcade and learnt such a lot.
“I am looking forward to continuing to develop my role, working alongside Medi, and playing a key part in the events we have planned, as well as the opening of our new development later in the year.”
Ms Parry added: “Zoe has really taken on the challenge of her role at the arcade and we’re all extremely proud of what she has achieved so far.”
