SCHOOLS and junior rugby union clubs in Northumberland are being given the chance to win their team an Ultimate Kit and Laundry Package as part of a campaign backed by England legends Will Greenwood and Austin Healey.
The campaign has been launched by AEG, a home appliance brand that combines advanced technology with award-winning design.
It will see 50 grassroots rugby teams selected to receive the kit and laundry packages, each of which includes 22 bespoke Samurai Sportswear rugby kits, as well as an AEG washing machine and tumble dryer.
Teams will also have the chance to win some amazing prizes, including a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with Martin Johnson’s England squad or attend a training day at Twickenham with Austin Healey and Will Greenwood and become part of England Junior Supporters Club, as well as a holiday to the Italian island of Sardinia.
Austin Healey said: “It’s so important that youth teams are given all the backing possible – they’re our future stars.
“These kit and laundry packages are of the highest quality and I urge every team in the UK to apply.”
The campaign is open to all teams under the age of 16 at rugby clubs and schools.
Anyone can apply for the kits, whether they are a coach, parent or fan of the team. Those under 16 should ask a parent or guardian to apply on their behalf.
Simply visit www.aeg.co.uk/grassroots for full details of the competition and to submit an application. The deadline is Friday, May 20.
