THERE were only two games played in Division One this week as pitch problems prevented a derby game between Amble Dock and Amble Tavern occurring and the recent severe weather in Morpeth put paid to Morpeth Chantry against Ashington RAOB.

Firstly Pegswood made it a perfect five wins out of five and Ashley McAlpine continued his astonishing run in front of goal with another hat-trick his fifth in a row as they defeated Stobswood 5-2.

Also on target for Pegswood were Lee McAndrew and Steven Dolan with the Stobswood replies coming from David Curtis and Anthony Wade.

In the division’s other game Red Row recorded an away victory at Village Inn winning 7-0 thanks to an Adam Shanks hat-trick, a Sean Palmer brace and single goals by Kevin Bell and John Charlton.

In Division Two, Riverside Lodge ended East Chevington’s winning start to the campaign, defeating the home side 3-1 with the goals coming from Dan Thompson (two) and an effort by Darren Percy.
