Morpeth Sunday League round-up

Division One

AMBLE Tavern made it four wins out of four as they defeated Morpeth Riverside Lodge 3-0 thanks to a brace from Ricky Hume and a single goal from Calvin Flanagan.

Ashington RAOB moved up to second place as they overcame Stobswood 2-1 thanks to goals from Keith Douglas and Darren Reay. The Stobswood reply was scored by David King.

Division Two

East Chevington also recorded their fourth victory in a row by hammering The Elephant 11-2.

Ashington Conchie are in second place thanks to a 2-1 win over Amble Blue Bell, with their goals coming from David Heppell and Michael Freathy.

The Amble response was scored by Andrew Taylor.

HMP Northumberland cemented third place as they ran out 3-1 victors over Amble Dock Hotel, with goals from Ryan McQue, Billy Cavens and Jason Singh.

Amble’s consolation was scored by Jake Watson.
