England debut for Poppy
Stannington schoolgirl Poppy Pritchard has made her debut for England U15s at football.
They played their first match last week against an Independent Schools’ FA team at Charterhouse in Surrey and drew 2-2, with Poppy scoring one of the goals.
Before the game, the girls were presented with their England shirts.
Poppy started playing football at Stannington First School and then joined Cramlington Town where she was the Manager’s Player of the Year for two successive years.
She then teamed up with Blyth Town, playing for both girls and boys teams. She has also played for Chantry School and joined the Northumberland squad two seasons ago.
