Fun football sessions for town’s children

Morpeth Sporting Club is hosting two free fun-days for young footballers in the town.

The club, which has 25 teams and 350 players from U7s to U18s this current season, is looking to recruit players for next season – either to play for its mini-soccer teams or to join the thriving Morpeth Minis section (the Minis is a coaching section for children in pre-reception and reception years at school).

The sessions are being held at Chantry Middle School on Sunday, May 17 and May 24 between 10am and 11.30pm and are open to boys and girls in current school years pre-reception to Year 4.

The club is a FA Charter Standard club and coaches, who are all CRB checked and first-aid trained, will be running the days.

The emphasis will be very much on the children enjoying themselves.
