Goals galore in Alliance

Last night’s Northern Football Alliance League matches saw another avalanche of goals in some high-scoring games.

Wallington scored four times to a single reply from Red House Farm at home to continue their good start to life in the Premier Division.

They now lie in fourth place behind Killingworth Station, Whitley Bay A and Shankhouse.

In Division One, Ponteland United lost 1-2 at home to Hexham and Wooler fell to the odd goal in seven as they lost at New Fordley.

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Alnwick’s reserves grabbed a point at Wideopen and District in a 3-3 thriller.
