Mixed results for Highway Men in home games

Morpeth Town 0 Dunston UTS 2 Northern League, Division One

MORPETH were unable to make it back-to-back home wins on Saturday.

The visitors were more clinical in front of goal – this was shown when Ormston gave them the lead.

Town pressed for an equaliser, but Dunston increased their advantage with a McAndrew strike.

It was a different story a week last Wednesday when the Highway Men beat Crook Town 3-1 at Craik Park.

Forster put the hosts in front after eight minutes. Nichols scored for the away side to make it 1-1 at half-time.

Morpeth dominated possession in the second half and they retook the lead with a goal from Jewels.

Town sealed the important victory with a good finish by Swanston and they can make it a double when they play the same opponents on Saturday.
