Morpeth side play their part in thriller

Morpeth Leopards U8 3 Cramlington Utd Thundercats U8 3

MORPETH started well and Josh broke straight through and made an amazing pass to Louie, who got round two defenders and slotted the ball home.

The Thundercats hit back and applied the pressure and Karun and Joseph had to dig deep and defend well to keep the Leopards in the lead, but the visitors’ pressure finally told and they went 2-1 ahead.

Back came the home side and Jacob’s accurate cross found Louie, who laid it off to Josh and he placed the ball into the net to equalise.

After Joe L made a great save, Josh’s excellent free kick found Joe T in the box and he tapped it home to put the Leopards in front.

Cramlington broke through straight away and hit the target to make it 3-3. Both sides had chances to win the match, but it finished a draw.
