Whitley Bay A’s Connor Johnson hit the only goal of the game at Red House Farm to put the Seahorses top of the table.
Sam Walton (two pens), Chris Moffit, Ben Fenwick and Dan Thompson netted for Wallington in an end-to-end encounter with Wallsend Town, who had come back from 3-0 down to level with goals from Liam Anderson (two) and Jordan Jones.
Rutherford led at Killingworth Station with goals from Will Forsyth and Sam Moore, but the Station hit back with strikes from Michael Bowman, Mark Covell, Lee Hamilton and Chris Tate, with Jimmy Davidson getting a third for the unlucky visitors.

Cramlington Town led Blyth Town with just seconds to go in the Archers of Blyth George Dobbins League Cup third round – but Malcolm Morien levelled and Blyth added four more in extra-time from Chris Bell, David Atkinson (two) and Ian Heron. David Mason and Jordan Watson scored for the hosts, Morien also getting the first equaliser.
John Robson hit a late winner as Walker Central were given a scare by Division Two’s Wallsend Boys’ Club. Nicky Whitelaw and Michael Starkie both hit doubles for Boys’ Club, who led twice, with James Walker, Matty Hayton (two) and Paul Hollier getting the others for Central.
Redheugh advanced with goals from Kev Hay, Alan Pegram and John Dewhirst in their success over Birtley Saint Joseph’s, who had Lee Cuthbertson on target.
Shankhouse led with goals from Anth Moran and Adam Bambrough against Ashington Colliers, who took the game to extra-time with late strikes from Liam Taylor and Shaun Gibson. Shankhouse took the tie 4-3 on penalties.
Connor Nixon (two), Jamie Bell, David Smith and Marton Urwin were Hebburn Reyrolle’s hit-men as they beat Ponteland United, who had Craig Cook and Stephen Rae on the scoresheet.
Stu Bell gave Northbank the lead at Newcastle Chemfica, who hit back to advance with a Steve McLaughlin double.
Max Zabourus (two), Scott Jasper and Matty Donkin scored for North Shields Athletic as they advanced at the expense of New Fordley, who hit back twice through Louis Boddy.
Wideopen went in front at Seaton Delaval with David Gabbitus’s early strike and they were unlucky not to add a second when they hit the woodwork, but Daniel Young led the Delaval fightback with a hat-trick.
BILL GARDNER MEMORIAL TROPHY
Stephen Howes and Andy Wright were also on target in their Bluefin Group Bill Gardner Memorial Trophy tie.
Dan Long (two) and Dan Carr were Blyth Isabella’s marksmen in their victory over Bedlington Terriers Reserves, who netted through Mark Race.
Andrew Kiddell and Andrew Robertson slotted home for Alnwick Town Reserves in their win at High Howdon SC.
Ross Muter (two), Mick Angus, Kris Allington and John Bone scored for AFC Newbiggin as they beat Cramlington United, who scored through Callum Nixon.
Grainger Park led with strikes from Nathan Lowdon and Jordan Allin, but visitors Whitburn advanced with strikes from Andrew Smith, Jack Fawcett and Adam Carrick.
Cullercoats’ Chris Gillespie, Scott Andrews and Steven Moat fired in as they beat West Allotment Celtic A, whose striker was Andy Massaba.
Percy Main went in front at Carlisle City through Daniel Sneap. Josh Simpson levelled for the Cumbrians and took the tie to extra-time, where Ashley Coombe hit the winner for City with two minutes to go.
First-half goals from Jesse Walkin and Tom Wilcox gave Newcastle Uni three points at Willington Quay Saints.
Wooler’s Michael Saunders netted twice as they won at Hexham. Kevin Bell got the other, with Mark Gibson and Dean Barnard the Tynedale side’s scorers.
Andrew Renton bagged a brace in Bohs win at Heddon. Paul Dixon got the other, with Steven Sattherthwaite netting a reply.
Longbenton went top of the division as Anthony Brown hit a hat-trick at Swalwell. Chris Sword got the other in a good win.
Ryan Gibson (two), Liam Grant and Robert Allen were Gateshead Leam Rangers’ scorers at Seaton Burn, who bagged a consolation courtesy of Ryan Spragg.
It ended honours even at Chopwell who had Mark Campbell (two) and Stuart Rook on target against Newcastle Benfield Reserves. Aiden Bell (two) and Sam Rutter replied.
