Pont progress in NFA Minor Cup

Ponteland United progressed in the NFA Benevolent Bowl when they had a 4-1 away win over Blyth Spartans Reserves on Saturday.

Pont will now be hoping to continue in the same vein when they face New Fordley (away) in the Challenge Cup this weekend.

In the Alliance Division 1, league leaders Red Row beat Bedlington FC 3-2 – this weekend they are home to Whitburn & Cleadon.

In Division 2, Ellington lost 4-1 away to Newbiggin, whilst Stobswood were beaten 6-0 away to Haltwhistle Jubilee. This weekend Ellington face Cramlington Town at home and Stobswood take on Newbiggin at home in the Amateur Cup.
