Ponteland sides pick up Alliance wins

Ponteland United picked up a 1-0 home win over bottom of the table Seaton Delaval on Saturday to go sixth in the Northern Alliance Premier Division table.

This Saturday Pont are away to Winlaton Vulcans.

In Division 1, Red Row won 2-0 at home against Hexham and they remain third. On Saturday (February 8) they are away to Blyth Spartans Reserves.

In Division 2, Ellington won 2-1 at home against Seaton Sluice and they are eighth. This weekend they take on Cramlington Town away.

Bottom of the table Stobswood Welfare lost 3-1 at home to Cramlington Town. On Saturday they have another home game when they face Newcastle East End.

In the Development Division, leaders Ponteland United Reserves continue to march on with a 2-1 away win over North Sunderland.

They are now a massive 18 points clear at the top and this weekend travel to tale on the struggling Lowick, who have not won a game since the end of August, and who on Saturday lost 11-1 away to Heaton Stannington A.

Morpeth Town Reserves lost 4-1 away to bottom of the table Red House Farm, who picked up their first victory of the season. They face a difficult away game this weekend when they travel to take on second top West Jesmond.

Morpeth FC, who had no game on Saturday, and who are third in the table, are home to Swalwell.

Ashington Reserves had a good 5-0 home win over Wideopen A and now sit ninth in the table. On Saturday they travel to take on Newcastle East End Reserves.
