Weather beaten

MORPETH Town were kept on the sidelines this week as both their weekend and midweek matches were postponed.

The pitch was unplayable at Brandon United on Saturday, as was Morpeth’s pitch for the game on Tuesday night against Horden CW.

Second-bottom Brandon did play on Tuesday and they lost 1-0 away to Whickham, so Town are still 12 points behind the Durham side but now have two games in hand.

Morpeth are at home to Seaham Red Star this Saturday. Kick-off at Craik Park is 3pm.
