It was semi-finals day in the Randolph Cup in the Blyth & Wansbeck Sunday League with Ashington RAOB facing Newsham Victory and Ashington Town Hirst playing Bedlington Social Club United.

Bedlington SC booked their place in the final with a 4-1 success.

Ryan McKee scored for the Hirst but goals for Bedlington came from Stephen Lucas (2), Joe Bolam and Kieran Egan.

They will now meet Ashington RAOB in the final after they picked up a 2-0 win against Newsham – Liam Thompsom and Simon Broatch both on the scoresheet.

Both semi-finals of the Saints Shield were played with Ellington Plough against Station Lounge Ashington and West Allotment against The Phoenix Tap. Station Lounge booked their place in the final with a 7-2 win with Matty Nelson scoring four goals. They will meet West Allotment who romped to an 11-0 win against the Tap, with Ryan Thompson hitting a hat-trick.

In round two of the Alan Davison Cup, Ashington Town Central won 2-1 against Blyth Town Sunday.

Central had ‘keeper Dean Farndale to thank as he was in outstanding form. They won the tie with a very late goal - Reece Farrell and Liam Hornsby scored for Central with Martyn Hepple replying for Blyth.

The only game in the Premier Division saw East Chevington win 4-1 away against Newbiggin New Ship.

Meanwhile in Division One, Bubbles Ashington won 3-1 at home against Bedlington Breakers.
