Children in a Northumberland village have enjoyed a feast of football sessions.
Trident Soccer recently delivered a five-week coaching course on behalf of Stannington Parish Council. It allowed youngsters from the area to develop their technical skills such as dribbling, shooting and team play.
Coach Shaun Jobson was delighted that UEFA Pro coach Willie Donachie was able to take time out to attend one of the sessions.
He said: “We would like to thank the parish council for the opportunity to provide coaching and also Willie for honouring a long-standing commitment to attend.
“The youngsters had a fantastic time and were truly inspired by having a world-class coach attend.”
The players of the course were as follows: group one, James Wright; group two, Reeve Lavier.
Karen Carins, chairman of Stannington Parish Council, said: “We were delighted to sponsor Trident Soccer to run the five-week programme for young footballers within the parish.
“This is how talented players begin and we are looking forward to running another course across the summer.”
