Morpeth RFC’s first XV made it two wins out of two at home in the league with a decent performance on Saturday.
They secured a bonus point thanks to two scores by Tim Michie and a try each from Kieran Brown and Jack Elliott.
Brown also kicked a conversion, and the other points-scorer in the 32-15 victory against Wheatley Hills was Alex Ball, with two conversions and two penalties.
The Reivers lost 31-24 at Billingham II. Marcus Ridley scored two tries, and a penalty try was awarded to the visitors. Richard Flook slotted over three conversions and one penalty.
There was better news from the Edwardians as they enjoyed a 46-13 success at home to Berwick II.
Simon Cox had a fantastic afternoon as he scored a hat-trick of tries and kicked three conversions.
There were also scores for Mark Davidson and Iain Menzies, both with two, and Ian Davies.
