Chatton Chancers (95 all out) v Mitford Marauders (212-7) Alnwick & District League Twenty20 Competition, Group One
MITFORD topped their Twenty20 group after a dominant performance at Chatton.
The visitors posted an imposing total of 212 for seven in their innings, with Stephan Hunt (32) and Graham Potts (14) getting the team off to a quick start.
Terry Dunn and Andy Gaynor then put together an excellent partnership, scoring 51 and 47 respectively.
The other knock of note came from Nick Gaynor, who finished 29 not out.
Chatton never recovered from a poor start as Mitford shared the wickets across seven bowlers.
Kieran Little took two wickets and Bruce Filer one to dismiss the top three batsmen for just two runs between them.
Burn made a decent 24 for the hosts but he was caught by Richard Brown off the bowling of Nick Gaynor.
Dunn and Hunt dismissed two middle order batsmen and when Parker was run out for five, victory was in sight.
Joe Jackson took two of the remaining three wickets and Andy Gaynor got the other as Chatton were all out for 95.
Mitford will now take part in finals day at Wooler on Sunday. They will play against Wooler Wizards in the first semi-final (the other is Berwick Bushwackers against Tillside Tomahawks).
