Warkworth II (86) v Mitford (87-0) Alnwick and District Cricket League

MITFORD romped home to a ten-wicket victory as they travelled to Warkworth.

Batting first, the home side allowed the visiting bowlers to run riot as they were bowled out for just 86.

Opener Luke Napier managed 33, including three fours and two sixes and Adam Jobson chipped in with 19, but there was little other resistance. The last five batsmen managed one run between them.

Pick of the bowlers was Yogen Jagatsinh who took four wickets for seven runs off 8.3 overs. He was well-supported by Craig Mole (5-29).

By contrast, the Warkworth bowlers were exceedingly generous, giving away 24 in extras, making Mitford’s easy run chase even more comfortable.

Bhavesh Patel scored 59 including 11 fours.
