Extreme race to help centre

A WOMAN is taking on the challenge of a lifetime to support a centre for disabled riders near Morpeth.

The Mongol Derby is officially credited by the Guinness Book of Records as the longest and toughest horse race in the world. It is a 1,000km self-guided multi-horse adventure across the desolate Mongolian Steepe.

Tamara Hudleston, originally from the Isle of Wight but now living in Durham, is currently riding in it to raise money for the Pegasus Centre in Tranwell. For more details and to donate, visit mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/tamarahudleston
