Morpeth athlete Marie Drosdowicz has secured a place in the duathlon at the World Championships to be held in Australia on October 13th & 14th October later this year.

Drosdowicz will be representing the England Athletics Association in Adelaide on October 13 and 14 as part of the GB team.

Her event will consist of a 10k run followed by a 35k cycle ride and concludes with a further 5k run.

And to push her on even harder, a close friend is currently battling cancer so she has dedicated her participation in the event to Cancer Research. She has set herself a target of raising £1,000 over the coming weeks.

Full details of the fundraising can be found on Drosdowicz’s Just Giving page.
