Morpeth 1sts went down to a 17-run defeat at the hands of Seaton Burn in the Northumberland & Tyneside Cricket League on Saturday.

Seaton Burn batted first and with Joshua Myburgh hitting 54 and Modussar Ali 41, they put on 180 all out with three wickets each for David Rutherford and James Craigs.

In reply, Morpeth came up short at 163 despite Rutherford top-scoring with 69.

Ponteland 1sts lost by 91 runs at home to Greenside.

The visitors posted 205-9 with Adam Wilkin their top scorer on 51. David Waters and Harrison Bond both took three wickets for Ponteland, who in their innings were all out for 114 with Waters top scorer on 30. Will Pike took 4-29 for Greenside.

Ulgham went down by 75 runs at home to Blagdon 2nds.

David Simpson hit 58 and Adam Robson 42 as Blagdon put on 209-8 with David Loxham taking 5-31.

Ulgham were 134 all out, Roy Haygarth on 49 and Loxham on 30, Elliott Leybourne taking 6-36 for the visitors.

Blagdon 1sts beat Corbridge by 149 runs. Matthew Senior hit 44 and Tom Lakey 40 as Blagdon put on 208. Corbridge were 59 all out in reply with Cameron Hedgely taking 7-24.

Kirkley won by seven wickets at home to Monkseaton 1sts. Ben Windass hit 48 as the visitors put on 171-6, Chris Farrelly taking 3-23. In reply, Kirkley took 33 overs to chase it down with opener Chris Rowe on 91 not out and Mark Moody on 56.

Morpeth 2nds beat Seaton Burn 2nds by one wicket. Seaton were 158 all out, Callum Lawn taking 5-45, before Morpeth posted 159-9.
