In the sole Division One game this week, Amble Tavern took another step closer to the title as they defeated Riverside Lodge 7-1, with the goalscorers Josh Hay (five) Matty Graham and Liam Brooks. Riverside Lodge’s goalscorer was Gary Scott.


Amble Blue Bell recorded a good 4-0 win over The Elephant thanks to a brace from Gary Taylor and efforts from Sam Jamieson and David Stobbart.


Both Bedlington teams progressed to the semi-finals on Sunday as Bedlington Barrington Arms and The Wharton Arms defeated Ashington RAOB and Stobswood respectively.

Bedlington Barrington Arms defeated Ashington RAOB 3-1 thanks to goals from Shaun Cowell, Dylan Williamson and Paul Dunn.

Ashington RAOB’s goal was scored by Mark Race.

In the other tie, a single goal was enough for Wharton Arms to see off Stobswood, with Andy Carr getting himself on the scoresheet.

Carr also missed a penalty in what was an eventful afternoon for him.
