Old Crossleyans 81 Morpeth 0 North One East
MORPETH were left to lick their wounds following a thrashing in Yorkshire.
The visitors could not deal with the Old Crocs’ attacks and the tries simply kept on coming.
After the hosts had gone 10-0 in front, Morpeth had a chance to reduce the deficit when they were awarded a penalty 20 metres out but the kick went wide.
They were 31-0 down by 30 minutes and try as they might before half-time to get some points on the board, the Mitford Road men were stopped by some resolute defending.
Old Crossleyans were relentless in the second period and they scored a further eight tries to make it a rout.
Morpeth will look to bounce back at home to Team Northumbria on Saturday. Kick-off is at 3pm.
