A parade of peonies

There will be peonies in Ponteland at the next meeting of the North East Plant Heritage group.

Jo Bennison will talk about peonies in the wild and the varieties available in the garden today when she addressed the group at Ponteland Memorial Hall on Saturday.

She owns Bennison Peonies near Lincoln, which has more than 270 varieties growing on site.

Ms Bennison will be taking along some of her plants to the meeting for members to buy.

The session takes place in the hall lounge at 2.30pm and visitors are welcome to attend.
