THE Morpeth Camera Club meeting on March 13 opened with an announcement by Chairman Dave Illingworth that the Northern Counties Photographic Federation has instituted a Roll of Honour for individuals who give meritorious service to photography in the Northern Counties.
To launch this roll it selected six members, and Vince Rooker, Morpeth’s Life President, was one of those elected. Club members offered their sincere congratulations to Mr Rooker on his well-deserved honour.
Mr Illingworth then welcomed guest judge Jim Welsh, who had agreed to present his comments and selections in the Bates Cup Digital Landscape Competition. The contest attracted a large entry, including many from new club members.
Mr Welsh gave the results: 1 Saltburn 9pm by Dave Illingworth, 2 The Colour of Dawn by Keith Saint, 3 After the Rain Has Gone by Steve McDonald, 4 Groynes by Ian Cadwallender, 5 St Mary’s Posts by Ian Cadwallender; Highly Commended – Hong Kong Lights by Dave Ranson, Aonach Dubh Revealed by Vince Rooker, Corpach and Lochaber by Vince Rooker and Winter Feed by Keith Saint.
Mr Illingworth thanked Mr Welsh on behalf of club members for a very enjoyable evening.
