MORPETH Camera Club’s summer programme of walks and visits continued with a trip to the Newcastle Quayside.
Members met on the Millennium Bridge for a walk along the south bank of the River Tyne.
Taking the path through the Gateshead Riverside Park and along the promenade, this elongated figure of eight walk to Dunston Staithes and back was very pleasant on a fine evening.
Passing seven bridges, the Sage building and the Baltic Arts Centre, there were no shortage of subjects to photograph and these were complemented by some hidden sculptures and art installations found on route.
Returning to the Millennium Bridge, it became the final focus of attention as the light fell and the changing colours projected onto the bridge and reflected in the calm water provided a stunning end to the evening.
