MORPETH Camera Club continued its series of summer walks with a visit to the Coquet Estuary and Amble Harbour.
The route led east through Amble Boat Club boatyard, the Yacht Club and marina.
There were numerous photo opportunities — vessels under repair, renovation of the river banks, reflections, colours, textures and local wildlife, including terns, gulls, swans and eider ducks. Also, a local trawler came into port to unload its catch of fresh fish.
A good night was had by all.
The next walk the club will make will be Hartley Bay to St Mary’s Lighthouse.
Future walks will include Rothbury to Thrum Mill, Northumbria University Campus and Tanfield Railway Gala before the club resumes its new season on September 13 when Vince Rooker, Life President of the club, will give a presentation on the Northern Counties Photographic Federation International Print Salon.
On and after September 13, Morpeth Camera Club will meet every Tuesday at 7.30pm and all new members will be made most welcome.
