COMMUNITIES across Northumberland painted the county red, white and blue as Jubilee fever gripped the nation.
There were smiles and teas all round over the extended Bank Holiday weekend, with thousands getting in the party mood to celebrate the Queen’s 60-year reign.
Street parties were organised by residents, while bigger events brought whole towns and villages together.
Beacons were lit in some places, including Morpeth, Ponteland and Whalton, to join in an initiative taking place across the Commonwealth.
And people of all ages delighted in taking part in the celebrations.
