Crowds flock to classic

Film classic, the 1949 British-made The Third Man, screened on March 4 brought out not only the Morpeth Community Cinema regulars but also a host of new cinema-goers too. A total of 78 people, including some younger audience members once again gathered at Morpeth Town Hall to enjoy the latest screening.

The Town Hall screenings are supported by a team of volunteers as well as Kenway Taxis, who have been providing transport for the cinema equipment free of charge for the past year. The community cinema has become a favourite monthly pastime for the regular audience.
