MITFORD is looking forward to a gem of a show this weekend.
The 26th Annual Show will be held at the Village Hall on Saturday – and this year there are special categories in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Extra classes have been organised for children’s entries, as well as among the traditional bakery and handicrafts sections.
There will also be the usual array of vegetable, flower, preserves and photography classes, with good chances of picking up a prize. Anyone can enter.
Chairman Brian Talkes said: “Growing conditions this year have been especially harsh so anyone with a reasonable exhibit stands a good chance of a prize ticket. Come along and enjoy seeing the fruits of your and other people’s labours and refreshments in a very friendly atmosphere.”
The hall will be open to exhibitors from 8.30am to 11.30am. Visitors are welcome from 2pm.
