There are two exciting activities – one for adults and the other for young children – at Morpeth Library next week.
On Thursday, June 11, acclaimed poet Linda France leads an informal workshop on reading and appreciating contemporary poetry from 5.30pm.
This will be followed by a light buffet and at about 7.30pm, Yorkshire poet John Wedgwood Clarke will talk and read from his latest collection, called Ghost Pot.
The charge to attend is £5. Tickets can be purchased for John Wedgwood Clarke only for £3.
A day earlier, there is a National Bookstart Week theme for the weekly session that is available to under fives and their carers.
There will be jungle-themed stories and rhymes and free giveaways, including a special book. For more details, call 01670 620390.
