A BLOOMING lovely Mother’s Day treat is being offered at Belsay this weekend.
Visitors to the Grade I-listed Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens will be able to take part in a family activity to plant and decorate their own spring bulb pot.
The event is being organised by English Heritage, which runs the estate, and the pot planting is included in the general admission price.
All mums get a free bulb pot to take away with them.
Property Manager Kate Anceau said: “Generations of the Middleton family are responsible for the stunning spring displays throughout the gardens and it was Lady Middleton herself that first planted the snowdrops that Belsay is now so famous for.
“The snowdrop displays are at their peak this week and our grounds are covered with a beautiful white carpet display. There are also spring bulbs popping up all around.”
Bulb planting runs throughout the weekend.
Admission costs £7.70 adults, £6.90 concessions and £4.60 children. It is free for English Heritage members.
