ALL things creepy crawlies is included as Disney’s The Wonderful World of Knowledge continues.

This week’s title is The Marvels of Science and next week’s book is Insects and Spiders.

Like the others in the collection, the book is mainly aimed at five to 10-year-olds but is full of information for the whole family to enjoy.

Heather Hogarty, of the Whitehouse Farm Centre, near Morpeth, said: “It is concise and clearly explains how to use the book in a manner that is easy for children to understand.

“Each section of the book is well thought out with excellent diagrams and pictures. Children will be able to learn a lot from the well labelled pictures before even reading any of the information.

“I enjoyed reading the facts as some were informative and some were fun facts, which will appeal to both adults and children.

“At Whitehouse Farm Centre, you can take part in the twice daily mini beast and reptile handling sessions, which include a Chilean Rose Tarantula, Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches, Giant African Train Millipedes and stick insects as well as a range of snakes, lizards and geckos.”

Each book in the collection costs £2.99 and is available with the Morpeth Herald from participating newsagents. If you have missed a title, call into our office in Newgate Street, Morpeth, or call 01670 517171 and we can arrange for copies to be provided.
