There was another strong turnout for the Boxing Day meet organised by the Morpeth Hunt, which set off from outside The Dyke Neuk Inn, Meldon.
A total of 84 mounted followers took part and about 200 people came along to show their support.
As in previous years, the New Year’s Day event will take place in Morpeth town centre. Riders will assemble in the leisure centre car park from around 10.30am.
Joint Master of the Hunt, Evan Jobling-Purser, said: “The Boxing Day Hunt is in a rider-friendly area and everyone goes home with a smile on their face.
“It’s great that we receive excellent support at both meets and we can’t wait to see the townspeople on New Year’s Day.”
