IMAGES of Morpeth’s past have been discovered by a town resident.
Nick Reardon found these three photographs among his mother Nancy’s collection.
Two of them are from 1934 when she was Nancy Orange. One is of a Christmas fancy dress party at Morpeth Town Hall in 1934 where she was dressed as a gypsy and the Mayoress of Morpeth was also in attendance.
In the other, she is among the participants of a dance class at the former Parochial Hall building.
The third picture was taken in the 1950s. Mr Reardon’s great grandfather, George Morrison, is photographed with fellow members of Morpeth Comrades Club when it was located at Bell’s Yard.
