MORPETH Camera Club reflected on the past year and its plans for the future in its annual general meeting.

Over the past year there has been an increase in new members who were keen to participate in competitions and presentations.

A new addition to our calendar this year was an event which featured Rob Jordon, which placed the club in a good position in that it was able to update equipment such as a new projector and screen.

This in turn, enabled us to maintain the club’s subscription rates at their current level.

After the resounding success of the last event it was agreed that the club hold another event in November.

Davy Bolam, the Club Competition Secretary has once again kindly agreed to organise a summer programme of visits and walks in the local area, a chance for club members to keep in contact during the summer break.

These meetings are a great opportunity for members to exchange tips and ideas, get some exercise and take photographs in good humoured and friendly atmosphere.

The club meets every Tuesday night, at 7.30pm, at Morpeth Methodist Church in Howard Terrace.

Our programme for the season includes various guest speakers, interclub and internal competitions involving prints, digital images, and audio-visual presentation, and teaching sessions on digital techniques, practical nights and social evenings.
