AUTHOR Paul Richardson will be signing copies of his latest work at a Morpeth bookstore.
Appleby’s book shop in Newgate Street is delighted to host the writer on Saturday.
Mr Richardson is the son of former Mitford vicar the Rev Jack Richardson, who penned the popular Jack in the Pulpit series of books.
He will be signing copies of his third book, Footsteps Of The Brave, which follows the story of a young man forced to leave the girl he loves and his home in the Scottish Highlands by an uncaring landlord. He finds adventure at the heart of the Iroquois and Passamaquoddy people during the Indian Wars and helps to lead the fight for their survival.
It is a tale of love, death and revenge.
The novel, published by Talulah Publishing, follows Mr Richardson’s successful poetry book, A New Beginning.
Appleby’s owner Tim Wallace said: “Paul is a great storyteller and Footsteps Of The Brave is a real page-turner.
“It is especially pleasing as Paul’s family roots are based in the Alnwick and Morpeth area.”
The signing will take place at the shop from 10.30am.
