STEP back in time for fun and games in the not-so gloomy Dark Ages at Wallington.
Visitors can discover a Saxon trail, re-create Saxon art, meet the estate’s own warrior, try on helmets and chainmail and learn to fight in a shield wall. They can even join in the Cuddy duck race.
The activities are available on Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 4pm. There is a small charge for some.
But the event is just the start of the half term fun.
On Monday, Get Going in the Garden invites families to build sandcastles and dens, play games and discover how to encourage wildlife into their own garden.
This free event will be held between 10.30am and 4pm.
From Tuesday to Saturday, join Wallington’s countryside team for adventures in the woods, from pond dipping and den building to bug hunting and woodland crafts.
Go Wild at Wallington will take place from 11am to 12.30pm and between 1.30pm and 3pm on each day, with a small charge.
